Dog friendly in Banchory

Come and join Archie, your floofy personal tour guide, as he shows you around his favourite Walkies in the Banchory area.  We hope you enjoy our videos!

We stayed at the Banchory Lodge Hotel

This was an ideal location for exploring the surrounding area.

We had a very warm welcome from the hotel staff.  Archie was able to come to breakfast and dinner with us and they even had a bowl and treats in the room for him which was such a lovely touch. For the humans, rooms were super comfy, food was exceptional and a beautiful location next to the river

We managed to cram 5 walks into our time away so here is our rundown …

Scolty Hill, Banchory

A short uphill walk with stunning views.

Crathes Castle

Just before checking in to our hotel, we went for a stroll around the grounds of the castle.

Burn O' Vat and the Culblean circuit

We followed the walking highlands guide for this one and it was a superb walk. The vat is an incredible geographical feature which was super cool to see, then followed by a lovely walk through the trees.

Bennachie Banchory
This was a mega walk for being the second in one day. A steep start but then evened out and the views were stunning!
