How to introduce Cold Pressed dog food

Tips for introducing cold pressed dog food:

Cold Pressed dog food is very different to regular kibble.  Yes, it's a dry dog food, and your new cold pressed recipe may share some ingredient names with your dog's previous food, but that's where the similarities end.

The natural nutrients in Cold Pressed are preserved, due to our low manufacturing temperatures.  This makes them much easier for fuzzy tummies to absorb and digest, so a little goes a long way.

Because Cold Pressed dog food is so rich in natural nutrients, it can take a little time for some pups to adjust.  During the period of adjustment, you may find that their stools become looser than normal, or more frequent.  If this happens, reduce the cold pressed for a couple of days, until stools return to normal.  Then slowly start to introduce it again.  It's important to introduce it very gradually.

After fully switching on to Cold Pressed, be careful not to fall into the trap of assuming your pup should eat the same amount of food as before.  If they've been on a kibble diet previously, then the amount of cold pressed dog food that they will need may be surprising!

We recommend introducing Rùn Cold Pressed over a period of 14 days.  Start with just a few pieces, as treats, then gradually add more each day.
